Laptops Distribution at the Guyana Society for the Blind Head Quarters.

Head of the eGovernment Agency, Mr. Floyd Levi, today addressed members of the Guyana Society for the Blind, when twenty nine (29) visually impaired persons benefitted from the distribution of laptop computers. A significant number of the recipients were secondary school students and individuals who are preparing for CSEC. Beneficiaries travelled from as far as Berbice and Linden to participate in the short but significant ceremony.

In his remarks to the audience, Mr. Levi urged the recipients to use the laptops in such manner to transform their lives. In addition, he informed the gathering that the distribution of the laptops form part of the Administration’s vision that all Guyanese become part of the Digital Society, through Government’s aim to increase digital equity, access and learning. The audience were most receptive. Mr. Ganesh Singh, who chaired the meeting, thanked the Agency for its favourable consideration of the Society’s request for the donation.
