Maintenance works to NDMA’s network

A Team of Officials from the National Data Management Authority (NDMA) were dispatched to the communities of Orealla and Siparuta in Region 6 to address issues regarding internet connectivity via the WiFiGY portal at sites in the two villages.

On Friday 6th May, 2022, the team led by Infrastructure Director, Mr. Orson Smith, and VSAT Manager, Orin Farrier along with their technical personnel visited the following sites and conducted maintenance works to NDMA’s network:

1) Siparuta Community Centre,

2) Orealla Police Outpost,

3) Orealla Health Centre,

4) Orealla Student Dorm,

5) Orealla Community Benab,

Upon completion of the visits, all sites in the two villages were confirmed as connected and functional.

The operation came as a result of a visit in March 2022 by the General Manager, Mr. Christopher Deen who met with several community leaders and noted their concerns. The NDMA remains committed to bridging the digital divide.
