National Data Management Authority Hosts Successful Data Protection Workshop for Government Agencies.

Georgetown, August 14, 2023 — Today, the National Data Management Authority (NDMA) marked another milestone in its commitment to fostering data security and protection within Government Agencies. The NDMA hosted a successful “Data Protection for Government Agencies Workshop,” bringing together over 100 Heads of Agencies, Permanent Secretaries and Senior IT Staff from various Government Agencies and Ministries.

The workshop, aimed at raising awareness about the importance of data protection in the digital age and equipping attendees with the necessary tools and knowledge to safeguard mission-critical information within their individual organizations.

During the event, attendees had the opportunity to engage with expert speakers and practitioners in the field of ICT and data security. The workshop covered a range of topics, including best practices for data handling, resilient data protection strategies, hardening of data networks, backup & recovery planning and guideline and other technological advancements in data protection.
